Riccia Fluitans – From My Aquatic Collection

Transform your aquarium with the natural beauty of Riccia fluitans, a versatile floating plant prized for its vibrant green color and lush growth. It provides excellent cover for shrimp, fry, and small fish while encouraging the growth of natural biofilm for grazing.

Each portion comes from my established tanks and is carefully selected for healthy growth. Riccia fluitans is an excellent choice for shrimp tanks, breeding projects, community aquariums, and aquascaping. It can be left floating on the water's surface for a natural look or secured to rocks or mesh to create a vibrant, cushion-like carpet under high lighting and proper maintenance.

⚠️ Please note: These plants may include small hitchhiker snails or other microfauna, which are natural in aquatic setups. They are not harmful and can contribute to a balanced aquarium ecosystem.

At Errly Aquatics, I stand behind every plant I sell. My goal isn’t just to ship plants — it’s to help hobbyists build thriving, beautiful aquariums.

💧 Acclimation Recommendation

Riccia is hardy, but gradual introduction helps it thrive:

  1. Float the package on the water surface for 5–10 minutes to equalize temperature.

  2. Remove the riccia from its packaging and gently rinse if desired.

  3. Place it on the water's surface to float naturally, or secure it to mesh or hardscape if you plan to grow it as a carpet.

  4. Under proper lighting and nutrients, Riccia will grow quickly and form dense, vibrant mats.

📸 Transparency Guaranteed

Trust matters in this hobby. I’m happy to provide additional photos or videos upon request.

No stock photos — only real riccia from my tanks.
